Introduction
Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) is the largest industrial township development in Central Java with a total development size of 2,200 hectares. KIP is also a joint venture between two leading Industrial Developers in South East Asia, naming Sembcorp Development Ltd from Singapore and PT. Jababeka Tbk from Indonesia.
This project is highly supported by Indonesia’s and Singapore’s governments. It was officially inaugurated on 14th November 2016 by Indonesia’s President, Joko Widodo and Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong. To Date, KIP has successfully attracted 83 Business Entities from different Industries, such as Food, Furniture, Fashion, Electronic, Automotive and so on.
The 1st Phase of KIP developments will include industrial clusters, town center, shopping districts, residential and recreational area. This development is the first of its kind in Central Java and even Indonesia, ambitiously expanding and developing rapidly. KIP will be an operating ecosystem for many industrial clusters and a self-sustaining economic system.
The Indonesian government established KIP as one of National Strategic Project and accelerated the development of macro and micro infrastructure. Therefore, The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, monitor and evaluate the implementation of National Strategic Project and report to the President at the minimum once every six months. In December 2019, KIP was officially designated as Special Economic Zone (SEZ) regulated by PP No.85/2019.
WHY KIP

SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE
Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) has officially become Special Economic Zone in 2019, regulated by PP 85/2019. We are the only industrial park in Central Java with this SEZ Status. There are some fiscal and non-fiscal benefits for investors as follows.
Fiscal Benefits*:

INTEGRATED MACRO INFRASTRUCTURE
KIP is a national strategic project based on Presidential Decree No. 56/2018. The role of government to improve the macro infrastructure in our surroundings is very impactful. Our macro infrastructure are as follows:
Trans Java Toll Road
The Trans-Java Toll Road is a tolled expressway network that runs from Merak, northwestern end of Java to Banyuwangi, the eastern end of the island in Indonesia. The toll road connects all major cities of the island. The total length of the road is 1,167 kilometres. Show the map of the route above and highlight where KIK is.
By having this toll road, East and West Java are more and more accessible.

Our nearest exit is Kaliwungu and it is less than 10 minutes reaching our industrial park.
Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang
It is only 21 km from KIP with plenty of flights available.

Railways
Completed in 2022; railroad crossings/intersections to facilitate container train access to Kendal Int Seaport by increasing speed on double tracks. It will be easier and cheaper logistic costs.
Accessible ring road to Tanjung Emas Port (completed in 2021 and Business Entities in KIP will then be able to bypass the road to Tanjung Emas Port).
